Junaedi Officiates Groundbreaking for TPU Offices on Two Islands

Seribu Islands Regent, Junaedi, made a groundbreaking and socialization about the construction of the Public Cemetery (TPU) Management office on Harapan Island, North Seribu Islands and Untung Jawa Island, South Seribu Islands.

We involve a third party to build it

According to him, the construction of these facilities and infrastructure was to meet the needs of residents living on Harapan and Untung Jawa islands who had been having difficulty arranging funerals, because there was no proper TPU management office.

"We're conducting outreach, thus the public knows clearly about this development plan and can be involved in monitoring it," he expressed, Wednesday (5/29).

Besides providing funeral services for residents, this office would also become a post for complaints regarding fallen trees, damaged parks, and so forth.

"We involve a third party to build it. Hopefully, it can be completed soon," he hoped.

Seribu Islands Regency's UKT 2 Head, Sofyan added the TPU service office was targeted for completion within six months.

As for the TPU management office on Harapan Island, it would be built on land measuring ​5.5 x 10 square meters. Then at Untung Jawa Island, the TPU would be built on land measuring ​​8x10 square meters.

"We will keep intensifying supervision during construction, asking for support from the community," he concluded.
